SUBMITTING YOUR OWN ARTWORK

If you're planning to submit your own artwork it's extremely important that you read and follow our specifications.

PLATFORM / SOFTWARE

We use a Macintosh platform. We can read Mac and PC files using QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

COLOUR

All art must be supplied in CMYK. (RGB and Spot or Pantone colours will not print.)

SOLID BLACKS

We recommend that any large, solid black areas be made with a process black so that you get a richer, deeper black colour. By creating a process black you will also reduce trapping problems. To create a process black, use: 40% C 40% M 40% Y 100% K. Do not use process black for text (use only 100% K).

TYPE

For Mac users, please supply the fonts or ensure that that the type is converted to outlines or pixels. For PC users, please ensure that that the type is converted to outlines or pixels. Fonts can not be supplied.

BLEEDS

All art must have a minimum 1/8" bleed on all sides.

ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS

Files can be submitted in PDF, TIF, or EPS formats. You can also supply art in QuarkXPress provided your fonts are supplied along with all related files. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator files can be supplied, provided the text is converted to outlines or pixels.

RELEVANT FILES

It is best to supply all relevant files on disk with your job. This includes photos, illustrations, fonts, graphics, charts, etc.
